Advertising rules

Ads appear on the home page and above directory results, labelled Sponsored. Every ad is reviewed by a person before it runs.

What you can advertise

• Real estate agencies, agents and developers.
• Property services: legal, surveying, valuation, inspection, mortgages, insurance, moving, interior and facility management.
• Other businesses useful to people renting, buying or moving, at our discretion.

What we don't accept

• Investment schemes that promise fixed or guaranteed returns, "double your money" offers, or crypto and forex trading.
• Land or property you don't have the right to sell or advertise, or without the title documents you claim.
• Loans with hidden fees, and anything that asks people to pay before they can see terms.
• Gambling, adult content, weapons, medicines, or anything illegal in Nigeria.
• Ads that pretend to be a NaijaAgents feature, a check or a review.

What an ad must say

• Your real business name, the one people will deal with.
• Accurate claims. Prices, locations, sizes and titles must be true when the ad runs. Say "from" when a price varies.
• No false urgency ("only 2 plots left") unless it's true and you can show it.
• A working website that matches the ad and belongs to you.

Your logo and images

Use only a logo you own or have permission to use. No images of other people's properties, and no photos of people without their consent.

Review

We check every ad against these rules before it runs, and again if someone reports it.

• If we don't approve your ad, we tell you why. You can change it to follow the rules, or ask for a full refund.
• If an ad is stopped after it starts because it breaks these rules, the remaining days aren't refunded.

Being sponsored isn't a recommendation

A sponsored placement doesn't mean NaijaAgents has checked or recommends the advertiser. People should still check independently before paying anyone.
