Terms of use

NaijaAgents is a directory where people find real estate agents and agencies in Nigeria, and a workspace where professionals manage their profile, enquiries and reviews.

We are not a party to any property deal. We don't sell, let or hold property, handle deposits or rent, act as an escrow, or guarantee anyone's title, authority, competence, financing or the outcome of a deal. Agreements you make with a professional are between you and them.

A check on a profile confirms one detail, such as a phone number, an ID or a CAC registration, at the time it was checked. It isn't an endorsement and it isn't a guarantee. Reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them. Ads are labelled Sponsored and aren't recommendations.

Before you pay anyone, confirm their identity and authority, inspect the property, have a lawyer review the documents and verify payment details through a channel you trust.

Give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@naijaagents.app if you think someone else has used it.

Agencies decide who joins them and what each member can do. Whoever owns an agency is responsible for its members' use of the agency's space.

List only yourself, or a business you're authorised to represent. Keep your details true and current, and don't claim checks, licences or affiliations you don't have.

Some profiles are added by NaijaAgents from public information and labelled as such. The person or business described can claim it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to remove it.

• Pretend to be someone else, or post fake reviews, profiles or requests
• Ask for money up front under false pretences, or use NaijaAgents for any scam
• Send spam, harass people, or post content that's illegal, hateful or private to someone else
• Scrape the directory, get round our limits, or interfere with the service or its security
• Use contact details from NaijaAgents for anything other than the enquiry they were shared for

Reviews must describe a real experience and follow the review rules. Professionals can reply and can dispute a review that breaks them. We may hide reviews that break the rules, and we tell the reviewer why.

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Paystack, and renew until you cancel. When you cancel, the plan stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, then moves to Free. We don't refund part-used periods unless the law requires it. We'll tell you before we change a plan's price, and the new price applies from your next renewal.

Plan limits, such as the number of full requests a month, are shown on the pricing page. Business plan's unlimited requests are subject to fair use.

Ads are reviewed before they run and must follow the advertising rules. If we don't approve an ad, we refund it in full. An ad removed after it starts for breaking the rules isn't refunded. You must have the rights to everything you submit.

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to host, display and share it on NaijaAgents and in our own promotion of the profiles and reviews on it, for as long as it's on the service. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

You can stop using NaijaAgents and delete your account at any time. We may hide a profile, limit an account or close it if it breaks these terms, puts others at risk or is required by law. Where we can, we tell you why.

We provide NaijaAgents as it is and work to keep it available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be. To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for losses from dealings between users, from information other people provide, or from things outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian law that can't be limited.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Questions: support@naijaagents.app or our contact page.
